2.2 The role that members play in the Society is set out in the JBS Constitution.

2.3 Benefits of Membership

Members are kept fully informed about the Society’s activities. They receive copies of the Chair’s Annual Report and of the annual report & accounts.

Members may attend and vote at the Society’s Annual and Special General Meetings. They can nominate members for election to the JBS Executive Committee and can vote in elections for the Executive Committee. They can also put forward resolutions for consideration at General Meetings. Members can also take part in JBS activities and campaigns.

Subscriptions are payable annually in advance. There are special levels of subscription for people with lived experience of sex work and for people on low incomes. The levels of subscriptions are set each year by the Executive Committee. Details of the categories of membership and the related subscriptions are set out on the JBS Membership page. The Society will notify members about any increases in subscriptions at least 30 days prior to any changes.
