We're delighted to announce that Dr Kate Lister has joined us as the new patron of The Josephine Butler Society.
Dr Kate Lister is a historian of sex work as well as a writer, television presenter, columnist, and podcaster. She is the author of FLICK: The Story of Female Pleasure and A Curious History of Sex, and Harlots, Whores, and Hackabouts: a History of Sex for Sale. Her podcast Betwixt the Sheets won Listeners Choice Award in 2025.
Kate brings a wealth of passion, knowledge and commitment to our mission of ensuring equality and justice for all sex workers, and we hope that her support will help us to raise our profile, boost our campaigns and reach new audiences.
